Difference Between Group Exercise And Physical Training

A person can achieve fitness through two ways. They are group exercises and personal training. Each technique has some advantages and disadvantages.

Group fitness training:
The group fitness is generally referred to aerobics and step classes, but today it includes group training, boot camps, aquatic fitness, CrossFit groups, and other multi-athlete exercise types.

  • Group training will provide beautiful atmosphere. Training with other people that too for many sessions will give a sense of companionship and creates a support network. It is generally non-competitive. Responsibility and obedience are generally lot better in the group-training atmosphere than in one-on-one training.
  • It is more cost-effective compared to one-on-one training and the order of practicing group exercises is joining a gym, which is cheapest and next comes boot camps and group training. This also provides some attention, guidance, and observations.
  • Usually in a group there are a couple of experts who are familiar with the techniques used by the trainer and they often feel happy to share their experience and assist new members.

Personal fitness training:
Personal trainers work with clients who require instruction and coaching in the field of exercise physiology, kinesiology, nutrition, supplementation, fitness evaluation, exercise programming, sports conditioning, flexibility techniques, and more. Generally they train individuals on one-on-one basis, but occasionally they also train couples and small groups.

  • Commitment-If the hard-earned money is paid for something, the possibility of making proper use of that purchase increases greatly.
  • A full time fitness consultation and exercise program– During fitness consultation and also in training, a personal trainer will evaluate the status of an individual. The physical trainer also helps to set up and maintain exercise program for client.
  • The training itself – The job of a personal trainer is teaching everything about nutrition, exercise, and a healthy lifestyle, also explaining the bogus myths on miracle weight loss and exercise programs.
