Checking a food label before consuming is always a good habit; as good as having good eating habits. But most of Americans admit that a bad content on food label from buying the product. So, where it leads to is eating disorder, the preliminary stage of obesity. Generally a food label contains information on fats, energy, calories, sugar content which the food item is providing. But the taste buds are always irresistible. I go for potato chips when I watch my favorite show in TV even though I have an idea how much fat it is going to induce in my body. Similar are the situations with many others. And the next extraordinary condition of some women is treating food as enemy. They don’t want to put on weight; in fact they are so terrified of putting on some weight and fight with food to keep them look slim. They call this great work as dieting. Dieting is not fasting. It may be similar to restricting from intake of food with high calories and fat. So dieting is to be done always under medical guidance to keep away fro adverse effects of fasting. Lengthy fasting can be dangerous due to the risk of malnutrition. During fasting or very low calorie diets the reduction of blood glucose, the preferred energy source of the brain, causes the body to metabolize sugars from protein. Proper exercising also helps during dieting. My suggestion is to keep exercising daily instead of doing severe acts at peak time.
