When compared with the other forms of testing the post incident drug testing is a very different one. This test is not done for making the employee out of job but rather than to protect the company. When this type of test is done the employer can find out the correct situation or the fact about the incident, even if the employee claims the services regarding injuries based on the test report the employer will respond.
If the results of the test are positive, it confirms that the person used the drug and the company is not responsible for the injuries. If the result is negative then the company serves him for the injuries. This can be done only by using blood or saliva test as they detect the recent drug or alcohol usage.
Apart from the above uses it can be used for avoiding future accidents. Even this type of drug testing results in loss of the job of the individual in some extreme conditions or situations.
