Marijuana is the most abused illicit drug in the world. It is derived from a plant called as Cannabis Sativa. Marijuana has many dangerous chemicals and THC is one of the main psychoactive ingredients in Marijuana. The strength of Marijuana depends on the amount of THC present in it.

These following can be caused under high doses of Marijuana: hallucinations, delusions, impaired memory, disorientation, loss of shout term memory. After 1-10 minutes of taking Marijuana, the effect of it starts and this effect will last up to 3-4 hours or sometimes even longer.

Two neurotransmitters such as norepinephrine and dopamine are effected by THC. These neurotransmitters are chemical messenger molecules and signals are carried between neurons by these neurotransmitters. Personality disturbances, depression and chronic anxiety are effected by impairing some of these neurotransmitters by Marijuana.
